Made of sustainable tule fibre, the design of this unique rug dates back to Pre-Hispanic Mexico.

Barragan rugs are precious – the result of a small revival of an extinct technique. This ancient and time-consuming weaving process involves not just a delicate cotton weave on a loom but a pair of artisans to knot the hairs, one by one. Maestro Tito and his grandson are the artisans who create these rare rugs for Obakki.
Dyed and woven with locally sourced materials around Mexico City, this rug compliments contemporary or classic spaces – and creates the perfect textural addition to any living space.
